Williams Brothers FR 820 Series Drywall Fire Rated Access Door
This Fire Rated Access Door can be used in drywall wherever it is necessary to provide service access to shafts and any other location which must have a fire rating. Approved for wall and ceiling use. This door has a tape in flange that allows for a trimless appearance to eleminate visual distraction. Recessed trim is 2
½" deep. Pivot Rod Hinge allows door opening of 140º. Has 16 ga. frame and can be used for walls and ceilings (ceilings up to 24" x 36"). These doors come ready to paint with a grey baked enamel primer coating. Automatic self latching slam catch and masonary anchor straps come standard on all Fire-Rated Doors. The optional Hot Smoke Seal™ fire rated gasketing improves fire retardant efficiency.
CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS:
- Door: 18 ga. steel.
- Frame: 16 ga., 1" wide perforated flange of 24 ga. galvanized material for mounting purposes, 2½" deep.
- Insulation: 2" thick mineral wool (THERMAFIBER®), in between two pieces of 22 ga. steel.
- Hinges: Fully-concealed pivot rod type hinge allows opening up to 140º
- Latches: Self-latching direct action latch, accepts both key and knurled knob.
- Automatic Panel Closer: Furnished on all doors, vertical position only. Ceiling position requires self-assisted closing.
- Inside Panel Release: Furnished on all doors
- Finish: Grey baked enamel primer coat
- Ceiling Installation: To comply with current fire regulations, largest size acceptable is 24" x 36"
